As the year draws closer to the festive season, iYouthC Finland has been busy building connections, creating spaces for dialogue, and launching initiatives that bring people together.

We are excited to announce that our Christmas Gala (Pikkujoulu) will take place on Thursday, 11 December. This cherished Finnish tradition is more than a celebration—it’s an opportunity to strengthen community bonds, share moments of joy, and enjoy the festive spirit together.

Throughout October, our weekly food distribution continued with growing participation from volunteers. Their dedication has been essential in supporting the community and ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.

Another highlight was the second session of our “Voices of the Future” project. This Debate Workshop, held on 21 October at the Aalto Debating Society in Helsinki, focused on understanding polarization and using debate as a tool for making thoughtful, informed decisions. It provided young participants with a meaningful space to reflect, share ideas, and engage in constructive dialogue.

October also saw the launch of our new initiative, Cooking for Others. Volunteers came together to prepare meals that will be delivered to beneficiaries in need of extra support. The first session was a wonderful success, marking the beginning of a project full of promise and impact.

With these activities, IYC Finland continues to foster connection, reflection, and generosity, showing that small actions—whether preparing a meal, sharing a debate, or celebrating together—can have a lasting impact on our community.
